Albert Abrams & Radionics Technology
Born in the wake of the San Fransisco gold rush era, in December of 1863, Dr. Albert Abrams was an heir to the large fortune of a popular merchant. Albert made use of his fortune to further his education, and serve the world through medicine. He earned his M.D. in Germany with First Class Honours and the gold medal of his University. Once he returned to California, his education opened the door for him to become the Professor of Pathology at Cooper Medical College, and later, Director of Medical Studies at Stanford University.
Abrams liked to experiment, expanding on the current science of the day into new territory. Inspired by the then-recently established Electron Theory of Matter, he decided to look beyond the cell, into the atomic realm of the patient’s body. This journey began when a pioneered a method to diagnose illnesses by tapping on the body. Through this, he discovered that different diseases caused the body’s tissue to vibrate at a different frequency. This gave rise to a theory that if disease resonated at a certain frequency, it could be canceled out, or eliminated by an opposing frequency.

This realization led to his first subtle energy invention, the Reflexophone. Utilizing this new tool, Abrams was able to not only measure these frequencies but then pulse the patient with an opposing frequency to provide a cure for their symptoms. Through tests on various tissues samples, he was able to determine that every drop of blood and hair broadcast the disease that was present in the individual. Therefore his next invention, the Oscilloclast, was even more advanced as it provided the capability for “remote” diagnoses through a small sample of the patient’s blood or hair.
His inventions saw a surge in acceptance after Abrams proved the effectiveness of his machines in successful demonstrations performed in front of large groups of his medical peers and students. In 1916, he launched his new system of medicine, based on what he called the Electronic Reactions of Abrams or ERA, along with his book, New Concepts in Diagnosis and Treatment. At the height of its popularity, more than 3,000 doctors were utilizing Oscilloclasts in their practice.
One of the greatest things about this new technology is that they were able to detect serious illnesses, such as cancer, while it was still in its earliest and most treatable phase. Another asset included the technology’s ability to transfer the beneficial energetic signature of a medicine to the patient, without the need for the patient to ingest the chemical itself.
For example, through his technology, he would transfer the signature of Quinine to patients suffering from malaria and achieve surprising healing results. This even more subtle form of energetic homeopathy spared the patient from any potentially toxic side effects from having to process the drug internally. The conclusion of these tests being, that energy radiating from the electrons of the medicine was enough to cancel the harmful effects of the electrons present in the disease.
Although Abram’s methods proved to have repeated successful results over the course of thousands of cases, both personally, and throughout the medical field of the day, opposition arose to discredit him. His name and his work were slandered. As with many medical technologies that work “too well”, despite all of the benefit brought to so many, his machines fell into disuse as a result.

Dr. Abram’s work saw a revival in the 1950s when it was discovered by Dr. Ruth Drown who rebranded it from the name “ERA” to “radionics.” Companies were founded that discovered a new application for the technology; agriculture. Utilizing radionics, they were successfully able to address pest problems without the application of pesticides to the crops. Farmers were pleased with the results!
Today, some still work with this technology, and many are inspired by the work started by Dr. Abrams over a century ago. Who knows how far this technology would have been able to advance, or how many people could have been helped if research had been able to be continued. Albert Abrams is remembered as one of the great minds of subtle energetic research, who was just a little bit too far ahead of his time.
Subtle energy fascinated the emerging medical world at the turn of the 20th century. Before medicine became purely materialistic and mechanical, the electrostatic and vital energy bodies were considered to be just as important as the physical body itself. One of the great thought-leaders of the time was Stanford professor, Dr. Albert Abrams, of San Fransisco California. Although he is known today as the “Father of Radionics,” it is actually one of his students that coined the term, radionics, and additionally made several of the major contributions to the technological advancement of this field.
Her name was Dr. Ruth Drown. Dr. Ruth Drown was the most unique woman in developing radionics to heal people. She developed and refined a means of diagnosis, treatment, and visual representation on photographic plate of any cross section of disease organisms, tissue or organs of her choosing.
Born in 1891 to a professional photographer, in her lifetime she became a single mother, entrepreneur, chiropractor and one of the most underestimated inventors of all time.
Ruth’s father was a professional photographer. He taught her everything he knew about photography. This photographic knowledge was important for her future work. At this time building radios was very popular. She was fascinated with this hobby.
Each chapter in her life prepared her for the next. Before becoming a doctor, she found work supervising mechanical addressing machines of the Southern California Edison Company. Over her four years with the company, she mastered many of the fundamentals of mechanics that would lead to the creation of her most important works, including the development of radionics machines.

She was offered a full time job by Dr. Thomas McAllister, an osteopath, which she accepted. He was delighted by her ambition. He lent her all his books and gave her instruction in the medical arts. Ruth went to a chiropractic school and in 1927, so she became a licensed Doctor of Chiropractic. While at school she experimented in new ways to use the vital life energy in the practice of radionics.
Ruth is accredited as being the first to develop a method of photography using only subtle energy. In 1935, utilizing the combination of all of her professional knowledge, she pioneered a method by which an unexposed photographic plate would be connected by a wire to a radionics instrument. As the photograph developed, the organ or body part that the radionics device was tuned to would appear.
She developed her own technique, using a photographic plate. She was able to diagnose and treat at great distances.
In 1935, Ruth had perfected her instrument. She devised a way to channel the same vital Life force energy that she was detecting with the diagnosis portion of her instrument through a photographic plate. Utilizing a special reverse method of film development, she produced photographs of tissue anywhere within the body, using only a dried drop of the patient's blood on a piece of blotter paper.
In 1938 she published The Science and Philosophy of the Drown Radio Therapy2 .
She believed that Life is energy; Life is consciousness and Life is substance.
She explained the system this way on page 22: “A drop of blood is placed on a blotter. The atoms are crystallized, and remain stationary as far as our five senses can discern, but the energy constantly supplying the activity of the nucleus of the atom is very much active and alive, and goes back to the source, which is the path of the body.”
On Page 34 she writes: “So-called ‘space’ is proving that sound and light are carried instantly to any place in the world, and cannot be insulated. Our own photographs of an object or person in any part of the world, taken with the Drown Radio-Vision Instrument, using energy alone, and no visible light, disprove the idea that there can be just space, and show that space has within it all the qualities of light brought down to substance.”
“This procedure is proof of the various states we have previously made concerning light. It is also proof that everything in the Universe has a rate of vibration, and that the emanation from any radio-active substance can produce its own picture. Therefore, if its action is the same as light, it must be a form of light.”
The device worked as a reception detector that would then photographically broadcast the image it was tuned to. Like a television set, it included an antenna, cathode tube, and 9 highly sensitive radio dials. Using a rubber foot pad attached to the antenna, the proper numbers of the dials would be determined when the pad would become sticky to the touch, or a loud snapping sound would be produced.
This worked for both inside, and outside of the organ, depending on the method. If the patient was connected directly to the radionics device, the outside tissue of the organ would appear. If a blood sample was used, the inner tissue of the organ could be seen. The blood spot method was found to be effective for diagnosing patients remotely and is still practiced in radionics today.
Because the method does not use electricity at all, the energy that appears is purely from the patient. Healthy tissue has its own frequency, as does diseased tissue. By determining the diagnosis, the frequency of the disease is obtained and sent back into the diseased tissue. This causes a “canceling out” effect, and as new cells are born, they are born healthy, and the diseased ones die out, ending the disease.
Why is this technology important? First, it shows the condition of organ tissue, therefore it is more detailed, and sensitive than an x-ray. By discovering the frequency of the disease, the cure is also revealed. To be able to see inside the patient, especially one who is very ill, without the need for an x-ray would save them from unnecessary radiation exposure. Also, it would allow the patient to stay home and rest, avoiding the need to travel to a clinic. Since the device does not need electricity to function properly, it can be used anywhere in the world.
Comparison with x-rays, and direct observation of the body’s tissues, repeatedly confirmed the accuracy of Ruth’s radionic photography method. She obtained the patent for her Radio-Vision, a.k.a. Drown Camera, in Britain in 1939. Her success lead her to become one of the most prestigious in the field, which unfortunately led to her eventual downfall. Dr. Drown was targeted by the F.D.A. and slandered by the media. In the year 1951, she was charged with fraud, and her amazing technology was destroyed.
As Western medicine fails to provide satisfactory answers for so many, humanity may begin to look back into chapters of history we have previously overlooked for solutions. Dr. Ruth Drown’s miraculous work in radionic photography demonstrates that there is a world of technology that is yet to be fully explored by today’s medical institutions, and that subtle energy may be the key to a fully healthy, thriving civilization.
Her principal treatment method was to feed the 'perfect' rate back to the respective diseased location in the patient, either by wires or remotely, the idea being that as new cells were created they would be healthy and would replace the diseased structures.4 She was exceedingly successful. She healed thousands of people. She was brought to trial by the FDA on trumped up charges. The AMA rejected radionics.
